Meet The Eye Doctor At Foresight Eye Care
Our eye doctor takes the time to explain the results of your eye exam, describe your options and listen to your eye care needs. Because maintaining good eye health is an ongoing partnership, we encourage you to ask questions and share your health information, which could be vital to monitoring, diagnosing, and treating potential vision problems.
Dr. Saara Hashmi received a bachelor of science degree in biology from the Pforzheimer Honors College at Pace University. She then earned her doctorate of optometry degree from the State University of New York. She completed her clinical internships and externships with Omni Eye Services of New Jersey and SUNY College of Optometry.
Dr. Hashmi has training in vision therapy and pediatrics, specialty contact lens and anterior segment as well as comprehensive eye care with an emphasis on glaucoma. She also has experience in the interpretation of various diagnostic tests and co-managing patients with ophthalmologists.
Most recently, Dr. Hashmi was a primary care optometrist with Vision World in Scarsdale and was previously a primary care optometrist with WestMed Medical Group in Yonkers, NY.
When she’s not with her patients, she loves to read and go on hikes with her husband.
